Types of Virtualization  in Cloud Computing

Virtualization allows you to share computing resources within organisations using mainframe computers.  It makes it easy for companies to centrally maintain their IT processes.

What is Virtualization in Cloud Computing?

Types of Virtualization in Cloud Computing

This virtualization refers to partitioning and distributing server resources such as hardware, software, and networking resources over a network.

1. Server Virtualization

Multiple physical storage arrays are merged and presented over a network as a single storage location. Organizers and individuals use it for maintaining and scaling storage systems.

2. Storage Virtualization

The idea is to combine all components of networks and administer them using software. All the underlying hardware and software of a network are included in these network components.

3. Network Virtualization

It involves the deployment of computer apps over the internet (cloud). The deployed apps is installed locally on a server, and when a user requests it, it is displayed to them.

4. Application Virtualization

Similar to application virtualization, except that apps are replaced by whole desktop environments. Useful for enterprises as it provides employees with a consistent desktop experience.

5. Desktop Virtualization

It helps analyze data from multiple sources collectively and much faster. Organizations can centrally manage and alter data from sources like Excel files, HubSpot reports, etc.

6. Data Virtualization
